Birthday Parties

Asbury Woods Nature Center is naturally a great place for your child’s next birthday party.

Parties take place year round on most Saturdays and Sundays. These two hour parties include an hour with an Asbury Woods naturalist, who will lead your child and their guests on fun nature themed activities.  The second hour of the party is for you to enjoy with your own refreshments, cake, and presents.  We have a variety of new birthday party themes for little nature explorers and elementary school aged adventurers.  The suggested ages for each party theme are guidelines.  Call the Nature Center at 814-835-5356 to schedule a party.

Chose a Theme

Eco-Pirates (Ages 4-8):

Tree Frog the Pirate has hidden some treasure right here at Asbury Woods Nature Center. Bring your band of explorers and be ready to solve the clues that will lead us to the treasure! *$20 materials charge

On the Wild Side (Ages 4-8):

Finally, a birthday party on the WILD side. This party in-cludes your choice of two of the following activities, animal show, hike, nature game or craft.

Scaley Tales (Ages 4-8)

Learn all about reptiles. Meet some of the reptiles that live at Asbury Woods (turtles, snakes, etc.). Play games to under-stand unique reptile adaptations

Nature Fairies and Wizards (Ages 4-11):

Fairies and wizards help take care of the plants and animals of the forest. Let's learn about interesting creatures that call our forest home. Find the hidden fairy stones, and make a wand to bring home. *$20 materials charge

Wacky Science (Ages 7-11):

Get a tiny bit messy but have a big amount of fun! Conduct fun hands on science experiments with a naturalist. Learn about interesting natural phenomenon *$20 materials charge.

Nature Art (4-11)

Creative kids will use natural materials and objects from nature to make a seasonal craft to take home. Nature art crafts vary with the season and age of the child.

Snow Stompin' (Ages 5-11):

Engage in fun winter outdoor recreation using snowshoes. Learn about animal tracks and animal signs. Must have at least 6" of snow on trails.

Campfire Birthday (Ages 7-11)

Celebrate your special day around the campfire. Roast marsh-mallows by the fire, then enjoy a guided nature hike. This party theme is available in both summer and winter.

The birthday child will receive a special gift from Asbury Woods, and optional goody bags can be purchased for other party guests. *$20 materials charge

Prices

Pricing is based on 10 children in attendance. There is no charge for adults.

• Members: $9 per child with $90 minimum
• Non-Members: $10 per child with $100 minimum
